Trumpetaren Waymon Reed (1940-1983) spelade i Count Basies orkester på 1970-talet och det här albumet blev hans enda i eget namn. Han har med sig Jimmy Forrest ts, Tommy Flanagan p, Keter Betts b och Bobby Durham dr. Utvikningskonvolut; dessutom edföljer ett 8-sidigt häfte med bl a Reeds solo i "Don´t get around much anymore", utskrivet med noter.
