Beskrivning:Howlin´ Wolf (Chester Burnett) var en oemotståndlig naturkraft. Kanske bluesens störste någonsin. Sam Phillips som var den förste som spelade in honom i Memphis tidigt 50-tal hävdade resten av sitt liv att Howlin´ Wolf var den störste artist han någonsin mött. Och då var Phillips mannen som upptäckte Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash m fl.
Här hör vi Vargen i ett antal inspelningar från hans tid i Chicago, som skivbolaget Chess främsta dragplåster. Bland musikerna hörs fr a den enastående gitarristen Hubert Sumlin, som var Howlin´ Wolfs trogne vapendragare fram till slutet. Pete Welding har skrivit en informativ albumtext.
